About the Work

My work combines painting and sculpture and emerges from a sustained engagement with abstraction as a space for exploring change in a broad sense. I am interested in processes – in movement in particular, and in transformation in general. Sculptural elements sometimes extend my paintings beyond the two-dimensional plane, reflecting a desire to transform them into spatial compositions.
Working in series, I focus on the interplay between revealing and concealing. Through layering and fragmentation, I move  between intensity and stillness, seeking a visual language that conveys continuity within change.
